This book celebrates the work of one of the outstanding modern Latin American architects. His work, though clearly modern, draws on the traditional in its use of familiar materials like brick and stone on the one hand, and in its employment of geometric forms on the other. Also traditional is his sensitivity to place in the design and situating of his projects. The book, while not a complete survey of the architect’s work in the period, covers works built primarily in Colombia from 1967-1992 in both photographs and plans.
